More about Terry:

“Grace and anointing”… “Anointing and grace”. These are the two things that are the mark of Terry MacAlmon’s life and ministry. Going all the way back to his birth when he was not expected to live past the first month of life, God’s grace was present. Raised in a Christian home, Terry was a child prodigy, playing the piano with amazing ability from the age of three. Throughout Terry’s early years and adolescence, he had repeated “visitations” from the Holy Spirit as he would play the piano and organ for church services in Lexington, KY. “God would often come upon me so powerfully I would begin to tremble, barely able to keep my fingers on the keys during an offertory on Sunday morning.” recalls Terry. Thru the early adult years of his life, Terry ministered as a staff pastor in different churches of the Assemblies of God, then moved more into independent charismatic churches in the 1980’s and 90’s. It was during that time that Terry sat quietly in a prayer room on a Sunday evening, waited on God then began to write the now popular chorus, “I Sing Praises”.

The main event of Terry’s ministry career and international platform came after a long wilderness season and in 1998, Terry began what soon became known as “Lunch with the Lord”, a noon worship hour on Wednesday’s in Colorado Springs. People from all walks of life and church backgrounds began to fill the World Prayer Center’s chapel every week, often lining the walls to just spend an hour in the presence of Jehovah. Bodies were healed, relationships were reconciled, broken hearts were mended. Six years of these meetings, along with the annual Pikes Peak Worship Festival, hosted by Terry’s ministry, brought forth 10 different worship CDs with a rare capture of the anointing of God that is still touching hundreds of thousands around the world. Terry admits, “I had no idea what the Lord was going to do with these recordings. I have been the most amazed of anyone.  The testimonies still come in – many of them miraculous in nature. There is NOTHING like the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I give Him all the glory for the work He has done and continues to do.”

The journey Terry has traveled has not been without its detours and trials. A very dark season in 2008 resulted in an implosion and the eventual ending of Terry’s 33 year marriage. It was the most painful time of his life and also his former wife, three sons and their families. God’s grace is sufficient for each one of life’s difficulties and His healing love is doing a work in everyone’s heart. Terry has made Dallas, Texas his home since early 2009, and following the hounding of the Holy Spirit, re-entered ministry in May of 2010. He immediately began work on a new CD called A Worshipful Christmas, which was released in October of that year. Also, God’s timing has recently brought a special lady into his life and following a 7 month courtship Terry and Liz MacAlmon were married on 12/11/10. Because of grace, there is a bright and beautiful future ahead for The MacAlmons. Continuing his call and gifting for recording, In October of 2011 Terry released a hymn’s project, Timeless Praise, a piano and full orchestra instrumental album.

Terry has returned to traveling around the U.S and the world in pursuit of God’s presence through worship. With the launch of a fresh ministry approach, New Glory International (www.newglory.org) began in September, 2011 and is holding monthly Glory Nights around the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.  There seems to be a sweeter touch than ever on his life and the mantle of prophetic psalmist is even greater than before.

Grace and anointing…. Anointing and grace… it’s still all about Jesus in the life and ministry of Terry MacAlmon.
